SANDHILLS HOLIDAY PARK ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT
We have set out below some general guidance about the accessibility of Sandhills Holiday Park and our holiday caravans for hire. If you have specific questions please contact us and our staff will provide you with further information.
Sandhills Holiday Park covers approximately 22 acres. The northern half of the Park is flat while the southern half is on a slope. Most areas of the Park are accessible by hard surface roads although access to individual caravans is across grass.
Reception and Shop
Our Reception and shop are situated in the same well lit building in the middle of the Park. There is limited short stay parking available next to the building and there is one step to gain access. There are no internal steps within the building.
Public Telephone and Phone Box
There is a traditional telephone box and post box opposite reception.
Laundrette
Our laundrette is located approximately 120 yards from Reception. The washing machines and tumble dryers are operated by tokens which can be purchased at the reception or the shop. There is a vehicle dropping off area outside the laundry room and there is one step to get inside the building.
Holiday Caravans
Sandhills Holiday Park has over 200 caravan holiday homes; of these nine are for hire and the remainder are privately owned.
Access to caravans is via fitted steps, usually two or three, with handrails leading to flat balconies at door level. There is car parking immediately adjacent to each caravan.
Our caravans have spacious interiors but doorways do not make them accessible to wheel chair users.
